For teachers

Teach with the notebook

Every module is a short sequence you can run in class or set for home: an explanation, an experiment you can project, practice with self-checking, a final check on new questions and questions to return to a week later. It is for learning and revision: the site does not grade, and every answer is open so that pupils can check their own work.

1 · Hook and read

Open with the module question. Read a part together; the illustrations open full-size for the board.

2 · Show the experiment

Each experiment fits one screen, so it works on a projector. Or let pupils run it in pairs and predict each step.

3 · Practise and self-check

Pupils answer first, then tick a checklist and read the model answer. Nothing is auto-graded.

4 · Check and come back

At the end, pupils try the final check on questions they have not practised and check it themselves once every answer is written. One to two weeks later, the return questions show what they still remember.

Course coverage

Cambridge IGCSE, 2026–2028: Biology 0610, Chemistry 0620, Physics 0625. Modules not built yet are shown as planned.

Core
Content every pupil learns. Pupils entered for Core take Papers 1 and 3 and can reach grades C to G.
Supplement
Extra content for Extended entry. Extended pupils learn Core and Supplement, take Papers 2 and 4 and can reach grades A* to G.

Review a pupil’s saved work

Pupils use Export saved work on a module page and send you the file. Open one or more files here; they are read in this browser only.

What to know

  • Pupils’ answers stay in their own browser. Nothing is sent anywhere; pupils export a file if you want to see it.
  • The checklists and model answers are our teaching points, not official Cambridge mark schemes.
  • Experiments are virtual models: apparatus, amounts and timings are illustrative. The site gives no instructions for real practical work; for that, follow your school’s own methods and safety rules.
  • These are independent materials. They are not produced or endorsed by Cambridge International Education.
